May 21 2012, NAZARETH, PA - C.F. Martin & Co. is pleased to announce today that Gregory Paul has been named Vice President of Business Development. A 15-year veteran of the company, Greg played a key role in the company’s business and financial strategic accomplishments as the Vice President of Corporate Operations. In his new role, Greg will help map out a broader business vision for the company and will direct strategic research and development activities. He will also provide leadership in managing risk as he heads the company’s legal, regulatory, government affairs, intellectual property, and business continuity functions.

“Greg is a dedicated member of the Martin Guitar family who has been instrumental in the company’s financial and brand growth for over a decade,” said Keith Lombardi, President and COO. “His strategic thinking and business acumen will help continue to elevate Martin’s growth and brand worldwide.”

“I want to focus on evaluating and pursuing the best opportunities for us to continue to grow our vibrant brand while maintaining our unique culture,” said Gregory Paul. “Having been with Martin for 15 years, I am still amazed by my co-workers’ craftsmanship and their passion for continually enhancing quality. We have an unmatchable combination of history and culture, and a team who make and sell the most incredible guitars and strings.”

Gregory was an independent consultant for Martin before joining the company permanently in August 1997. With a natural affinity for music present at an early age-he was able to read music before he learned to read words- joining the Martin team has always seemed an inevitable career path, and to date he owns five Martins.
