Bensalem, PA – The UV70P will be good news for Steve Vai fans who may not have the heavy bread it takes to snag one of the axe master’s vintage signature Universe guitars. Vai fans may recall this particular Universe—and its smart black with florescent green accents, as the instrument he once sported on the cover of Guitar World over two decades ago.
The introduction of the 7-string UV70P (List price $1866.65) also marks the first signature model of Ibanez’s popular Premium line of guitars and basses. “Given how long Ibanez and Steve have been working together, it’s fitting that our first Premium signature guitar should be associated with Steve,” says Ibanez USA electric guitar product manager Junji Hotta.
