Washburn Guitars Presents the WJ130EK Acoustic/Electric Guitar

Chicago, September, 2012 - Washburn Guitars introduces the WJ130EK jumbo acoustic/electric guitar as part of its Vintage Series. The Vintage Series recreates the style, and vintage look and feel of some of the great Washburn instruments that were crafted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The WJ130EK is a jumbo style acoustic/electric guitar and features a Sitka spruce top with quarter sawn scalloped bracing and beautiful rosewood back and sides. An abalone rosette and cream multi-lam binding with rope purfling add a touch of class. The rosewood capped headstock features a pearl Washburn logo and the rosewood fingerboard features pearl snowflake inlays. A rosewood bridge comes with a bone compensated saddle which works in tandem with the bone nut to add power, sustain and clarity. Distressed Wilkinson brass butter bean tuners hearken back to a more elegant era. As with all instruments in the Vintage Series, the WJ130EK has a vintaged finish to mimic the look a 100 year old instrument might have.

The WJ130EK produces a big sound with plenty of bass. Mids are warm but lightly scooped with clear, bright highs. A passive piezo pickup is mounted under the bridge for live performance. A squared off vintage style hardshell case is included

The WJ130EK with case carries a Suggested Retail Price of $890.90.
