Celestion, Ipswich UK, January 13, 2011 – Celestion, a pioneer in the development of professional loudspeakers for more than eighty years, recently announced the full availability of CDX1-1445 a low profile, 1-inch exit ferrite magnet compression driver .

World renowned for their exceptionally high performance compression drivers, Celestion launched the CDX1-1445 device in mid-2010 as a brand new, compression driver platform.

Shipping now to manufacturers and distributors worldwide, CDX1-1445 is a lightweight, ferrite magnet device that has been made available at an exceptionally cost-competitive price point, making Celestion compression driver technology even more accessible to reinforcement system builders.

Developed at Celestion’s headquarters in Ipswich, England, CDX1-1445 is a 25mm/1-inch exit compression driver that features a 35mm/1.4-inch diameter voice coil. The device provides 20-watt power handling and delivers 106dB sensitivity over a frequency range of 1500-20,000Hz.

Featuring a ferrite magnet and single piece PETP diaphragm and surround, CDX1-1445 complements Celestion’s existing range of compression drivers. It has been optimised using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and delivers exceptional performance at this extremely competitive price bracket.
