Boutique Guitar Preamp Integrated Into the Steel Skull Head

Simi Valley, Ca October 14, 2010 – Tone Box announces a new deal with Guitar Center to retail their brand new Skull Crusher preamp distortion pedal in ten Guitar Center locations. The new effects pedal is available today at the Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, L.A.’s West Pico Blvd, San Francisco, Nashville, La Mesa, Chicago, North Dallas, Houston and Manhattan locations.

The new Skull Crusher preamp distortion pedal features a six stage analog preamp with 10dB boost, true bypass switching with optical mute, volume, gain and tone controls and an external DC jack that can run off of standard 9v supplies. The preamp portion of the pedal can drive a power amplifier or be plugged directly into a home recording system, mixing board, powered speakers or a PA system. The pedal is available in either polished stainless steel or plated in 24k gold.

Design and construction of the Skull Crusher is hand sculpted to the finest detail by trained artists; then molded and finished to the highest grade of finish. A goal of the company’s founders, amp designer John Kasha and special effects creator, Shawn Crosby was to break the mold of traditional stomp box shapes and tones and add a new dimension to the musician’s on-stage performance. After their initial product release last year, they continued their relationship with OEM producer, Rockmodules for this follow up product and couldn’t be happier with the results. “The advantage of working with Rockmodules is that it allows the product to be hand wired and manufactured in the United States” sited Shawn Crosby.

MSRP $399 for stainless steel and $499 for Gold
