ESP president Matt Masciandaro says, “The Xtone and LTD lines both appeal to a similar customer... one who demands high quality along with excellent value. Since the LTD brand is one of the world’s best-selling guitar lines, we believe that the Xtone models will benefit from the association with LTD. It will also allow us to sell Xtone guitars through the same retail channels as the LTD line, allowing more and more guitarists to discover that Xtone is a serious alternative to other hollowbodied and semihollow electric guitar brands.”
The first new model in the LTD Xtone Series is being announced at Winter NAMM 2010. The Xtone PD-1 Paramount Deluxe is a solid-body guitar that offers high-performance components such as EMG 81/60 pickups, a Set-Thru neck joint for ultimate access, a TonePros TOM bridge w/ string-thru-body design, black binding, abalone purfling, pearloid/abalone inlays, and a 24-fret neck. Three finishes are available: Black (BLK), Pearl White (PW) and See-Through Black Cherry (STBC) on a flamed maple top. All other guitars in the Xtone line will now be offered as LTD models, grouped as the Xtone Series. Detailed information on the LTD Xtone Series and all of ESP’s latest models can be found at espguitars.com.
