Gregory Edwards Named as Endorsing Artist for Conn-Selmer
Greg is a native of New Jersey and a product of its public schools. He is an alumnus of Geneva College, The University of Delaware’s Graduate School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy, and Drew University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Affairs and a Master of Divinity degree.
Greg has performed with numerous mainstream jazz musicians such as Vic Dickinson, Frank DiBussolo, Milt Hinton, Eddie Locke, and Maxine Sullivan to name a few. He has recorded with bassist Gary Mazzaroppi (Maryland McPartland) as well as guitar virtuoso Frank Dibussolo (Tony Bennett) among others and continues to keep a busy performing and teaching schedule. Dibussolo says “In the world of improvised music, Greg Edwards is one of the finest proponents of jazz clarinet today. It’s always a joy making music with him.”
His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society for Training and Development, a national organization dedicated to developing the skills of trainers and educators, and is one of the founding director’s of the Arts Luminarium, Inc., a multicultural arts center with a mission of making the performing and fine arts accessible to all people. Greg credits his success in music and in life with his deep, abiding faith in the Creator, the greatest artist of all.
