Markbass provides bottom end for ProgPower USA metal festival
ProgPower stage manager Chris Roy (also the bassist and singer for Reading Zero) explains why Markbass was chosen as a partner for the popular event: “Markbass blew me away from the first moment I plugged it in. The tonal variety available with just a slight tweak of a few knobs is truly astounding. Whether you’re playing jazz to funk to rock or even the heaviest of metal, Markbass delivers the punch and power to cut through.”
The ProgPower stage will be graced by two Markbass stacks consisting of SD800 amplifiers and Classic 108 cabinets. The SD800’s 750 watts of digital power deliver the fast response and detailed midrange necessary for high-speed metal bass playing, and the Classic 108 cabinets add tightness, aggression and full bottom end.
Metal bands featured at the festival will include: Iced Earth, Amorphis, Jon Oliva’s Pain, Riverside, Mustasch, Iron Savior, Bob Rock, Andromeda, Spheric Universe Experience, Elvenking, Saint Deamon and Pathosray. The Hellish Rock World Tour, presented by ProgPower USA, takes place the night before the festival and features Helloween, Gamma Ray and Manticora.
