KRK Systems® Releases Limited Edition Yellow Rokit Studio Monitors

United States
6-Inch “Ferrari Yellow” model available at Guitar Center’s nationwide

Chatsworth, CA – October 8, 2008 – KRK Systems, the world’s leading manufacturer of powered recording monitors, is releasing a Limited Edition Rokit Studio Monitors. The concept and color design is part of a joint collaboration with Guitar Center. Available only in the 6-inch model and at Guitar Center’s in the U.S., the Rokit6 G2CB will feature a high-gloss yellow cabinet along with the traditional yellow Kevlar cone.

The Rokit6 G2CB will remain true to the original Rokit’s legacy while providing a sleeker, more modern look that is as functional as it is beautiful. The piano-lacquer, yellow finish is similar to yellows found on exotic sports cars and adds a truly stunning look to any studio set-up.

The Rokit6 G2CB will be built to the same strict specifications as the Rokit G2 and deliver the same high quality sound. Recently, the Rokit was upgraded with superior curved design elements that virtually eliminate diffraction distortion caused by standard flat baffles. As with the Rokit G2, the CB will incorporate several technologies from the company’s flagship VXT and E8B lines, including the radically radiused edges along the front of the cabinet.

Additionally, the Rokit G2’s voicing was enhanced to provide even better mix clarity and precision. The end result is a harmonious yet accurate blend of low and high-frequency components that result in a more accurate speaker. When combined with it’s unarguable visual appeal, the Rokit6 G2CB provides the best of both world’s to the consumer looking for style and quality.

“KRK studio monitors are second to none in terms of superior sound quality and aesthetic appeal,” said Tony Rodrigues, Vice-President of Marketing for KRK Systems. “The Rokit6 G2CB allows us to provide our loyal users a cutting-edge style choice without compromising quality,” added Rodrigues.

“Working with KRK on the CB version of the Rokit has been a great experience,” said Bryan Bradley, Guitar Center’s Director of Purchasing, Pro Audio/Recording Merchandise. “The product’s look and performance is in line with one of our fastest growing customer segments. We are excited to offer this product to our customers,” added Bradley.

Since 2004, Rokit monitors have provided thousands of musicians, songwriters, producers and producers with a value-priced monitor that delivered meaningful mixes that translate to all listening environments.

The Special Edition Rokit Studio Monitors are available now at Guitar Center and have a MSRP of $299 per monitor.
