On Friday, Nov. 30, Guest joined the ranks of Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, and David Bowie, when he accepted an honorary doctor of music degree from Berklee College of Music. After the conferral, Guest, backed by close to 30 Berklee students and faculty, performed music from Spinal Tap, Waiting For Guffman, and A Mighty Wind, in a sold-out concert at the Berklee Performance Center.
The stage is flooded with bass players for the set-ending performance of “Big Bottom.”
For the finale, Guest was joined by more than 50 bass players - and Berklee President Roger Brown on drums - for an unforgettable performance of the Spinal Tap classic “Big Bottom.”
