LOS ANGELES, CA — December 14, 2007 — Alfred is excited to distribute a number of new DVDs from legendary artists such as Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and more. Alfred’s already-full library of DVDs receives a boost with the recent release of four new hits: Led Zeppelin: Mothership, Eric Clapton: Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007, Paul McCartney: The McCartney Years, plus the new exclusive DVD of 2007’s Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis.

Check out the DVD featuring the band with the most anticipated and historic performances of all time! It’s rare that a group can truly rock today’s world, but the arrival of Mothership, the first-ever comprehensive 1 DVD & 2 CD Led Zeppelin compilation, and a concert event reuniting Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones, accomplishes just this purpose. Produced by Page, Mothership’s 24 monolithic tracks were selected and sequenced by the band, who also oversaw the painstaking re-mastering. Spanning their epic career, the unprecedented collection pulls immortal songs from all eight of the band’s classic studio albums, one of the 20th century’s most enduring bodies of musical work. Arguably the most influential and innovative rock band ever, Led Zeppelin has sold over 200 million records worldwide. They continue to inspire successive generations with their passionate, groundbreaking, genre-transcendent, mystic, heavy and blues-infused rock ‘n roll. The DVD also features new liner notes by David Fricke and exclusive cover art designed by noted Los Angeles artist Shepard Fairey.

The second Crossroads Guitar Festival, a daylong concert featuring legendary music and collaborations, was held on July 28, 2007 to benefit the Crossroads Centre in Antigua. Eric Clapton: Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 is the follow-up to 2004’s certified eight-time platinum DVD Crossroads Guitar Festival. The festival displayed a wide range of styles from rock to blues to country and featured myriad artists including the infamous Eric Clapton. Highlights include Clapton regrouping with Blind Faith band mate Steve Winwood, a virtuosic instrumental set from Jeff Beck, Vince Gill performing along with Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson, and much more. Over four hours of material featuring the world’s greatest guitar players is presented in 5.1 Dolby surround sound. Royalties from the sale will go to benefit Crossroads Centre, Antigua.

Paul McCartney: The McCartney Years is a new 3-DVD set celebrating Paul’s extraordinary post-Beatles body of work with over 40 music videos of his classic songs, reaching back to 1970’s “Maybe I’m Amazed,” and running through 2005’s, “Fine Line.” Over two hours of live concert performances, with Wings and solo, and other assorted rarities are all included. Elements are all meticulously restored, and all films have been polished, re-graded and given a new lease on life in a widescreen format with remastered audio. Over four hours of footage is included, and the retrospective boasts new commentary from the venerable Sir Paul himself! Bonus features include a Band on the Run promo film and a 2005 documentary on the making of Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.

On July 7, 2007, more than a hundred musical acts performed at a series of worldwide concerts collectively called Live Earth, kicking off a multi-year campaign to combat climate change and advocate environmentally sustainable living. Live Earth: Concerts for a Climate in Crisis is a 2 DVD and 1 CD set that brings together the most popular artists and best performances at Wembley Stadium in London, Giants Stadium in New Jersey, and Makuhari Messe in Japan from this truly global musical summit. Organizers say Live Earth was heard through radio, television, and the internet. Live Earth attracted a record online live audience of more than eight million people.

Led Zeppelin: Mothership is now available for $24.99; Eric Clapton: Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 is now available for $29.99; Paul McCartney: The McCartney Years is now available for $34.99; and Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis is now available for $27.98.
