Ron Larcombe, CEO of Power Group Ltd. sums it up by saying: “The world of ‘guitar sounds’ is so expansive that the average musician cannot afford to own the assortment of instruments necessary to create those sounds. Highland offers instruments so reasonably priced that anyone who has dreamt of owning a quality acoustic or archtop can now realistically consider owning this style of instrument. We’re ecstatic to have the Highland line of instruments in our family - they’re a perfect complement to our MTD Kingston and Ashdown offerings. The Highland instruments are well-crafted, beautiful, play great and sound fantastic. Their use of exotic hardwoods, Grover tuning gears and Fishman pre-amps elevate the acoustic guitars above anything in their price range and their archtop electrics are astounding. All the guitars are strung with Elixir® strings and their guitar cases are extremely high quality – they sell for half the price of similar cases and even come with a hygrometer!”.
Highland instruments retail from the mid $200’s for an entry level acoustic to the mid $800’s for a top of the line archtop. The optional hard shell cases retail from $120 to $150.
