Music Industry And NAMM Receive National Arts Award
Joe Lamond, NAMM president and CEO, and Terry Lewis, executive VP of Yamaha Corporation of America, were present at the Americans for the Arts’ 2007 National Arts Awards to accept the Corporate Citizenship In the Arts Award on behalf of the music industry and NAMM. The event was held Oct. 15, 2007, in New York City as part of National Arts and Humanities Month. The awards recognize those artists and arts supporters who exhibit exemplary national leadership and whose work demonstrates extraordinary artistic achievement. Recipients are organizations and individuals--artists, business leaders, and patrons--who understand that the arts enrich people and communities alike.
