Dolby Lake Processor Wins 2007 Innovations In Technology Audio Award

United States
10 April 2007 — The Dolby® Lake® Processor was honored with the 2007 Innovations in Technology Audio Award at the NSCA Expo in March. Nancy Emerson, President of the NSCA, presented the award to representatives of Dolby Laboratories’ Live Sound Group: (l-r) Michael Reeves, Sales Director; Bruce Jackson, V.P. of Professional Products; and Ervin Grinberg, Marketing and Sales Manager.

The Dolby Lake Processor includes an easy-to-use interface—with optional wireless tablet control—for real-time loudspeaker management, with advanced DSP features, reference-quality audio converters, LimiterMax(tm) loudspeaker limiting and unique Iso-Float(tm) ground isolation technology. The system offers loudspeaker and EQ processing running simultaneously on a hardware platform that may be configured for up to eight independent channels of Lake Mesa EQ(tm) or up to four-by-twelve channels of Lake loudspeaker processing.

Each year a nominations committee comprising expert systems integrators, consultants and magazine editors selects three nominees in each of seven categories for the Innovations in Technology Awards. During the NSCA Expo, attendees may vote on the products, which are displayed in the Innovations in Technology Pavilion, and the winners are announced on the closing day.

Last year, the Dolby Lake Processor was presented with the PLASA06 Award for Innovation from Professional Lighting and Sound Association in London, U.K. and also won the Best PA Product Award at the fourth annual Producción Audio and Producción Profesional Awards in Madrid, Spain
