D’Addario’s E-Commerce “Buy Now” Program Prepares To Go Global [ Summer NAMM 2007 ]
FARMINGDALE, NY, July 27, 2007 — Until very recently only consumers from the U.S. were permitted to purchase D’Addario products via the Buy Now program. This is about to change. The D’Addario International E-Commerce Program is expanding to other countries.
To solicit new distributors and e-commerce retailers, flyers have gone out to the D’Addario’s international distribution partners prescribing levels of commitment. Participants can agree to stock a minimum SKU inventory from all brands under the D’Addario umbrella—or from one brand or segment alone.
The international e-commerce shopping experience will be simple and expeditious. Consumers will visit the international section of the D’Addario and Company’s sites and click on the flag that represents his or her country. A link will then be provided for the appropriate distributors and retailers in the selecting country. Consumers can then choose from the applicable retailer listed and buy directly from their web site.
“The success of D’Addario’s experience here has enabled the company to reach out with confidence to distributors, retailers, and consumers in Europe, Asia and other parts of the globe,” comments David Via, Vice-President of Sales. “All indicators now point strongly to an extension of the D’Addario Buy Now initiative beyond the borders of this country to the thousands of loyal users of D’Addario, Evans, Rico, Planet Waves, and HQ products.”
Over the coming months, D’Addario’s online marketing team will supervise the compilation and posting of new participant retailer URLs, logos and respective country flag icons to the new international section. The International E-Commerce Program will launch by the end of August 2007.
