Max Moore Joins D’Addario As New Director Of East Coast Operations [ Summer NAMM 2007 ]

FARMINGDALE, NY, May 25, 2007 — D’Addario & Company, Inc. is proud to welcome Max Moore to the company as the new Director of East Cost Operations.

Moore will work out of D’Addario’s Farmingdale, New York headquarters, and will be joining the Operations Department to develop and lead a team responsible for transitioning D’Addario into a world-class Lean Manufacturing enterprise and will provide valuable expertise in improving our overall production process. He will report directly to D’Addario President Rick Drumm.

Additionally, our production, marketing and sales teams look forward to his input on how we can create even deeper synergies between departments so we can better service our customers.”

Before joining D’Addario, Moore gained more than 20 years experience in engineering, manufacturing, and operations management in the metropolitan New York area, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. As a certified Master Lean Champion, Moore has reinvented and streamlined the operations of a variety of manufacturing firms, reducing inventory, lead times, and operational costs. He has designed and implemented production and distribution systems, including documentation standards that resulted in ISO certification. He has also trained and coached numerous colleagues in Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.

Moore received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from City College of New York, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer in New York, California, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
