Rico Revolutionary Sax Strap “Breathes” with Player and “Remembers” Neck Contours

FARMINGDALE, NY, July 27, 2007 — Rico, the leader in quality and consistent reeds for clarinet and saxophone, is proud to announce the launch of an instrument strap that combines unique features and premium construction. The new Rico Padded Sax Strap embodies at once the saxophonist’s concerns for instrument security and player comfort with the need to combat heat and moisture.

Constructed from soft memory foam, the Rico Padded Sax Strap adapts to the curvature of the neck, providing a customized and comfortable fit. The outer shell is a durable, athletic-style material that breathes with the player and allows heat to dissipate. This also enables the strap to dry faster when used on hot stages that may cause the player to perspire. The new strap shares essentially the same design features as other Rico sax straps—including both the curved hook that holds the instrument securely and the easy-slider height adjustment.

“The Rico Sax Strap is revolutionary,” states Rico Product Manager Robert Polan. “The memory foam not only adapts to your body but doesn’t irritate your neck when you’re working on a sweltering stage. Players are sure to appreciate the strap’s comfort and security.”

The new Rico Padded Sax Strap will be shipping in late July 2007. The strap will retail at $29.95 and will be available in black.
