HQ Releases Soundoff 22” Cymbal Pad [ Summer NAMM 2007 ]

United States
FARMINGDALE, NY, July 27, 2007 — In the world of practicing drummers, drum and cymbal mutes are a necessity to keep the peace with neighbors and family. The problem is that most mutes curb noise by sacrificing feel. HQ SoundOff Drum and Cymbal Mutes promote realistic practice sessions by allowing drummers to use their own drumsets and cymbals. Soundoffs mount efficiently to playing surfaces and reduce volume up to 95%.

The new HQ 22” SoundOff Cymbal Mute responds to the trend to larger ride cymbals. The mute provides a realistic tactile experience and affords exceptional bounce across the playing surface. A “cut-out” exposes the bronze cymbal bell and provides the ultimate practice surface while volume is drastically curbed.

“This is just the start of the expansion of our SoundOff line ,” says Senior Product Manager Mike Robinson. “Drummers will appreciate the realistic feel of the mutes while friends and family will appreciate the silence even if just from this one cymbal.”
