MakeMusic Announces New Partnerships

Members of the International Trombone Association and the North American Saxophone Alliance to receive special SmartMusic pricing

MINNEAPOLIS, JANUARY 11, 2007 — MakeMusic, Inc. (Nasdaq: MMUS) announced today a new agreement with the International Trombone Association (ITA). Effective immediately, ITA members will be able to purchase an annual subscription of SmartMusic® for only $25.00. The standard annual subscription is priced at $100. Teacher members will be able to offer their students SmartMusic subscriptions at the same reduced price

Ken Hanlon, ITA President, stated: “SmartMusic is the most incredible software for students and professionals alike. ITA is very proud to have been chosen to offer this program to its membership.”

A similar partnership was formed in November with the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) allowing their members to purchase SmartMusic at the same reduced price as well as sponsor their students.

Mary Schneider, MakeMusic’s chief marketing officer, stated, “We are very proud of these new partnerships. Agreements with such widely regarded organizations as ITA and NASA demonstrate the growing awareness of the benefits that SmartMusic learning software now offers music educators and musicians of all skill levels.”
