Firewind Guitarist, Gus G. Endorses BBE

1 June 2007 — Firewind guitarist, Gus G., has joined the growing army of BBE endorsers after trying the new Green Screamer overdrive. “As soon as I stepped on the pedal,” revealed the guitarist, “I discovered it kept the same EQ on my tone, but also gave me the extra boost and edge I need for playing lead parts and solos. With some overdrive and boost pedals I’ve tried, the sound gets too noisy or it screws up the whole EQ and winds up sounding like a mosquito,” he explained. “But with the Green Screamer, that wasn’t the case. I found I had the same tone as without it, but with more edge, more body and no noise. And I didn’t have to run across the stage to shut the pedal off as soon as the solo ended to avoid all the noise and buzz that happens with most overdrive and distortion pedals. This is exactly what I need.”

Gus G. and Firewind are currently finishing up a UK tour in support of the group’s latest album, Allegiance. Taking them away from their Greek homeland, Firewind will be making its US debut in the fall, culminating in an appearance at the ProgPower USA VIII Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.
