21 December 2006 — Gretsch’s new Custom Series Spun Brass Metal shell is solid, seamless and heavy. Its 3mm thick shell is superior at achieving volume levels ranging from a soft whisper to piercing loud, while retaining purely musical tones. Available in 5 x 14, 8-lug, and 6 1/2 x 14, 10-lug sizes, each drum is capable of a wide tuning range, to produce a sound that will inspire any style of music. This is one of the finest all-around snare drums Gretsch has ever offered.
