United States
English
21 December 2006 — Gretsch’s 4160 Chrome Over Brass (COB) shell snare drum has long been identified as a Gretsch classic. Expanding on this legend are two new Chrome Over Brass shell sizes - 6″x13″ and 6-1/2″x14″. These new additions share the same performance features found on the legendary 4160; the added sizes offer drummers additional tonal choices.

New Gretsch G4164 6-1/2″ x 14″ Chrome Over Brass Snare

The 6″x13″ (G4168) size cuts in upper tuning ranges while offering an abundance of full-bodied tone. The 6-1/2″x14″ (G4164) snare offers even deeper and lower tuning ranges yet can be tuned high to produce clear, well-defined tonalities.

  • Chrome over Brass shell with classic center knurl pattern
  • Die-cast hoops
  • Lightning throw-off
  • Snap-in drum key holder
  • Gretsch Permatone coated batter, clear snare side heads
  • Classic Gretsch “Drop G” Octagon badge
  • Gretsch 42-strand snares (24-strand on 13″ drum)
