10 May 2007 — Currently celebrating the company’s 20th anniversary, Blade Guitars’ Gary Levinson has produced the new California Classic. The smaller, elegantly contoured body of the new instrument, both light and comfortable to play, is complemented by a slim, fast neck begging to be throttled for fat power chords and screaming solos. Powered by two VS-1 vintage style single coil pickups and one LH-4 humbucker, the guitar also sports a Blade vintage style M-54 tremolo for superb vintage tones and perfect string spacing. Another major feature is “Auto-Split” switching, which automatically splits the humbucker when combined with the middle single coil pickup. Supplied with a Blade Polyfoam case, the California Classic is available in a variety of colours including Jet Black, Vintage White, Purple Rain and Blue Metallic.

With WeImprovise! I set out to build a different kind of promotion & discovery platform — supportive, expansive, & inclusive, for music, musicians (students, performers, educators, & researchers), and the wide-ranging industry that supports music worldwide.
The focus is jazz, blues, & roots-folk-world music — incidentally the music that feeds pop & rock creativity — along with the inclusion of cultural & sociological aspects without which the music cannot truly be engaged with.
What you see is the beginning, a proof of concept to demonstrate possibilities and inspire ideas.
