New In The Warwick Custom Shop: MEC Bullet™ Piezo-Electric Body Sensor [ Musikmesse 2007 ]

United States
English
28 March 2007 — The MEC Bullet™ piezo-electric body sensor gives a solid-body electric the resonance of an acoustic guitar... without the feedback issues! It is a special piezo-electric device bonded tightly inside a small hole in the body of the bass.

It can be installed in any 4 or 5-string, standard or broadneck bass and works perfectly with active, passive or piezo electronics.

Initially designed for Warwick endorsing artist Seth Horan, the Bullet™ opens new doors of bass performance creativity.

Says Seth, “When the gain on the Bullet is turned up the wood around it becomes responsive to being slapped and tapped, and depending on where you hit it, it can sound like a kick drum, a tabla, a temple block, etc. This adds an exciting new percussive dimension to the tonal possibilities of the existing piezo system.” Warwick and MEC have once again expanded the capabilities of the electric bass!
