Warwick Black Label “Dark Lord” Strings [ Musikmesse 2007 ]
28 March 2007 — The “Dark Lord“ is the first and only production bass with a Low F#-tuning. The low .175”-string — by the way — has a “tapered core” like the B-string, i.e. the string has tapered windings at both ends, hence also fitting to standard-nuts and —bridges.
The handcrafted Warwick Black Label strings are well-known and popular. All Warwick basses are factory-equipped with these long-lasting and brilliant stainless steel strings. The Black Labels are available in different lengths and thicknesses, the “Dark Lord”-set, however, only for 4-string models, compatible for Long and Extra Long scale and in the composition of .085” (A), .105”(E), .135” (B), .175” (F#).

The focus is jazz, blues, & roots-folk-world music — incidentally the music that feeds pop & rock creativity — along with the inclusion of cultural & sociological aspects without which the music cannot truly be engaged with.
What you see is the beginning, a proof of concept to demonstrate possibilities and inspire ideas.
