Schecter 004 Bass [ Winter NAMM 2007 ]
The crème bound ash body has a 34” scale rock maple neck attached to the body via a 5-bolt system, which enhances tone transfer. Available in two finishes, the Natural Satin features a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with vintage pearl “block” inlays, while the Gloss Black version sports a maple board with striking black block inlays. A brass nut adds to the 004’s inherent acoustical clarity.
The heart of the new 004 Bass is the electronics. Two newly designed Schecter Bass Humbuckers are tonally enhanced by the on-board Active/Passive EQ system. When in the “active” mode, the EQ provides 12db of cut/boost in the bass and treble frequencies. When the Master Volume control is pulled up, the 004 turns “old-school” passive! A Master Blend control allows for on-board mixing of the two pickups.
The new Schecter bridge was also designed with “player preference” in mind. This massive bridge allows for string-thru-body or traditional “top-load” stringing… or a combination of both! Chrome hardware is standard.
MSRP: $899.00
Note: A Left-handed version is available in NATURAL SATIN (MSRP $949.00)
