The second year in a row, H&K wins the “Best Guitar Head” category.

Sankt Wendel, 13 April 2007 — At this year’s Musikmesse in Frankfurt, the revolutionary Switchblade head was awarded the international MIPA Award 2007 in the category of “Best Guitar Head”.

Also nominated were the Marshall JVM410H and the Mesa Boogie Roadster. For Hughes & Kettner, this is the second win in a row: last year, the Trilogy tube head won in this category!

More than 100 magazines from all over the world got together to vote for the year’s best products in over 40 categories, turning the MIPA into the equivalent of a Grammy for the musical instruments industry. The awards were presented at the MIPA Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse / Prolight + Sound, March 29th, 2007.

“Winning this special award makes us very proud, and will further fuel our strive to keep innovating”, comments Marketing Director Stefan Fischer. “Switchblade was a complex development project with quite a few challenges along the way, and our team has worked very hard to make this happen. We would like to thank the world’s music press for this recognition, especially considering the strong group of nominees. It means a lot to us!”
