John Lennon Tour Bus Hits University Of So Cal, Roland Helps Make California Dreams A Reality

English
Los Angeles, CA, March 29, 2007 — The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus recently made a stop at the prestigious University of Southern California to give a few students the opportunity to record an original song and produce a music video — all in a single day. Outfitted with some of the latest and most advanced Roland and Edirol gear available, the Bus stands (or rather --- rolls) as a testament to Roland’s commitment to music education and innovative outreach programs.

The Bus is a traveling, non-profit recording and video production studio that gives kids the chance to work with state-of-the-art music and media equipment to produce professional quality tracks and videos of their own musical collaborations. Since 1988 the Bus has provided free, hands-on music making experiences to hundreds of high schools, colleges, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conventions, and community organizations.

Roland Market Development Manager Corey Fournier relates, “Combining their musicianship and creativity with Roland and Edirol gear, these students make music and videos worthy of the Lennon legacy. It’s amazing what these students and the bus staff are able to accomplish in one day.”

Video footage of the latest Bus productions can be viewed at www.rolandus.com and www.jlsc.com.

The brainchild of Brian Rothschild, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus exposes kids to the possibilities in their future---giving those who may have a dream but not the means---a chance to demonstrate their creative abilities.
