SKB’s Bold New GigRig® Hits The Road With Style

United States
January 18, 2007 — 4.1 Booth D50 - SKB Corporation will be showing off the new SKB19-1406R Mighty Gig Rig during Musikmesse. This fourth generation design is a collaboration of ideas from touring musicians, experienced engineers and the world’s best rotational molding tool makers. The result is a long awaited rolling rackmount system with an innovative multi-use component concept utilizing the lid as a latch-on pedestal.

The new SKB19-R1406 Mighty GigRig® features a deeper design (14U +) which allows for deeper analog and digital mixers (Yamaha 01V96, Allen & Heath Mix Wizard, Mackie Onyx, etc.).

The deeper design allows for rack gear to be mounted on front rack rails and additional rack gear mounted on rear rack rails (optional) for a total or 12 rack units on the bottom.

The cover is designed to be used as a stand for the Gig Rig and places the mixer at proper mixing height when it is open and in use. The cover will fit over installed XLR cable connectors (top or rear mounted).

An optional expansion rack will be available soon for even more rackmount space. (SKB19-REX6) and an optional wheel set for Marching band/School applications makes the new SKB19-R1406 Mighty GigRig® a versatile new rolling rack system for many applications.
