2007 marks Carmine Appice’s 40th year in the music business. This living legend first entered the spotlight as the drummer of Vanilla Fudge in the late “60s, later forming the bands Cactus and King Kobra. Carmine has played with some of the finest rock musicians in the world, including Jeff Beck, Tim Bogert, Rod Stewart, Stanley Clarke, Ozzy Osbourne, Brian May, Ted Nugent, and Pink Floyd. As part of the Rod Stewart Band, Carmine also helped write the hit songs “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and “Young Turks.” He has been inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame (along with Ginger Baker and Alex Van Halen), and received Sabian’s “World’s Greatest Rock Drummer” award and Sabian’s “Lifetime Achievement” award.
