New Generation Instrument Right-Angle Plug Allows Noise-Free Switching

LAKEWOOD, NJ, JANUARY 31, 2007 — Neutrik, which has designed and manufactured the industry standard in professional audio connectors, jacks and plugs for more than a quarter of a century, continues to introduce innovative solutions to the audio industry with the introduction of the Right-Angle Silent Plug at Winter NAMM 2007.

Neutrik’s Right-Angle Silent Plug is the ideal solution for switching an instrument, such as electric guitar, under load without creating the pops or squeals typically associated with plugging and unplugging a cable from an instrument or amplifier jack.

“With a rise in demand for right-angled plugs, Neutrik re-introduced its popular Silent Plug in a right-angled version to meet the changing needs of our consumers,” stated Jim Cowan, president of Neutrik USA. “Neutrik’s Right-Angle Silent Plug continues to offer musicians the value of a seamless transition when using multiple instruments with the added benefit of using a right-angled plug. The contoured design strategically provides a more convenient plug-in for equipment operated in confined spaces. It also situates the cable in the direction of gravity, relieving the plug of having to endure the weight of heavy cables.”

A 2 pole right angle ¼" professional phone plug that fits into any ¼-inch stereo or mono jack, the Right-Angle Silent Plug features gold-plated contacts, red coating, chuck-type cable retention and the integrated “Silent Switch,” which is hermetically sealed and, due to its “REED technology”-based design, offers unrivalled lifetime durability.
