Tonebone Pedals Can Now Connect Using 9VDC Supplies! [ Winter NAMM 2007 ]

Vancouver BC, January 18, 2007 — Radial Engineering Ltd. is pleased to announce the Tailbone, a simple yet unique device that converts the power from two 9VDC power supplies to 15 Volts to allow non-tube Tonebone pedals like the Switchbone and Loopbone to be used with second party multi-output pedal supplies such as the VooDoo Lab Pedal-power™ or Dunlop Brick™.

According to Radial Chief Engineer Denis Rozon: “No one likes wall warts… those big ugly power supplies that seem to be used everywhere these days. But the simple fact is: they are convenient, can be safely used around the world and are cost effective, so they are here to stay! In recent years, several manufacturers have produced replacement boxes that can power several 9V devices at a time. But being as they typically only power 9V pedals such as those made by Boss™ they do not provide sufficient voltage to run higher end devices like the Tonebones. The Tailbone provides a simple solution that combines the two 9V sources, regulates the voltage and spits out a solid 15 Volts to sufficiently power most of our products. Best of all it is small and easy to fit on a pedalboard!”

Made from light weight aluminum, the Tailbone is compact and easy to mount anywhere! Two input DC connections from standard -9VDC supplies are connected and a +15VDC output is used to drive the Tonebone. As with all Radial products, the Tailbone is supported with a 3-year transferable warranty.

Available Mar 07 (estimated)

Tonebone Tailbone suggested list price: $69 USD
