Audio-Technica Names Chris Nighman Audio Solutions Specialist [ Winter NAMM 2007 ]

NAMM SHOW, ANAHEIM, CA, January 18, 2007 — Audio-Technica has appointed Chris Nighman as Audio Solutions Specialist in support of its Audio Solutions Department. Rick Joyner, Audio Solutions Manager at Audio-Technica, announced this addition to the team, noting that Nighman’s appointment is the company’s latest step in augmenting its Audio Solutions Department, which is dedicated to identifying and addressing the needs of the audio community.

Chris Nighman joined Audio-Technica in 1998, spending years as Lead Inspector in the Quality Assurance Department, and has continually sought to expand his knowledge and insight into the audio industry. Nighman brings direct consumer experience to his new Specialist position in A-T’s Audio Solutions Department, as both a musician and project studio owner. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con). Nighman will now be focused on fulfilling the informational needs of Audio-Technica’s customers, accurately fielding questions about A-T’s full range of products and applications.

The Audio Solutions Department acts as the first point of contact for A-T’s staff, reps, dealers and end users seeking clear technical or product advice and application assistance. Since the department’s inception, customers have expressed appreciation for this easy way to reach a support team; more than 95 percent of incoming queries are answered directly by Audio Solutions Specialists. In addition to phone consultations, the department offers online technical support, gathers feedback from the field to identify emerging trends and business opportunities, and assists in product design, development and sales.
