English
18 January 2007 — David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash worked together with Martin Guitar to create this very special tribute guitar in honor of Gerry Tolman, CSN’s friend and manager, who died in an automobile accident on December 31, 2005. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this guitar will help to support Gerry’s family.

The CSN Gerry Tolman Special Edition Tribute features the CSN logo, inlaid with pearl beneath the classic mother of pearl “C.F. Martin & Co.” logo on the polished African black ebony headplate.

David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young all contributed insignia designs for inlays on the ebony fingerboard including a Schooner at the 5th fret (Crosby), Southern Cross at the 7th, 8th and 9th frets (Stills), Heart with Wings at the 12th fret (Nash), Broken Arrow inlay at the 15th fret (Young) , and a small cats eye at the 17th fret.

The CSN Gerry Tolman Tribute features a top of beautiful Engelmann spruce combined with forward-shifted scalloped braces for full, powerful tone. The sides and two-piece back are East Indian rosewood, a hard African tonewood that provides outstanding projection.

Delivered in a Geib™ style hardshell case, each CSN Gerry Tolman Special Edition Tribute guitar bears an interior label signed by Martin Chairman C.F. Martin, IV and numbered in sequence. Electronics are optional and left-handed guitars are available at no additional charge.
