Allows Guitar To Stay In Tune While Exerting Adjustable Pressure
FARMINGDALE, NY, January 17, 2007 — The problem with capos is that regardless of the model, they tend to pull strings aside or exert direct pressure unevenly throwing the guitar out of tune. In addition, they exert inordinate amounts of pressure and weight which wrecks havoc on intonation. Enter the next evolution in capo design, the new Planet Waves Dual-Action Capo.
Planet Waves teamed up with the famed Ned Steinberger in designing the ingenious new capo. Together, they have created a capo that eliminates side-pull, thus keeping strings in tune, and exerts direct evenly balanced pressure on the strings. A tactile micrometer tension control allows for adjustable clamping pressure, while compound action reduces the force necessary to open and close the capo. The result is quick and easy, in-tune performance at each fret. What’s more, the aircraft quality aluminum construction adds virtually no weight to the neck while in use. All of this in a quick and easy, one handed operation.
