Jackson® Unleashes Mark Morton Dominion™ Guitar [ Winter NAMM 2007 ]
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 18, 2007) — Jackson® Guitars is proud to announce a new signature guitar designed in partnership with the amazing Mark Morton, Lamb of God guitarist and modern music visionary. The Mark Morton Dominion™ signature model guitar was created in close partnership between Jackson and Morton, and has been tour-tested and approved as one of the only axes capable of conveying Morton’s unique guitar mastery.
“Perhaps more than anyone else, Mark Morton represents the “new breed” of Jackson artists,” commented Jackson Marketing Manager Brian McDonald. “With his agro riffs, machine-like precision and dissonant chording, this is the man who has re-defined the standard in heavy metal guitar playing.”
True to its co-creator, the Mark Morton Dominion is a striking “new school” instrument based on a modified version of Jackson’s Swee-Tone™ Jazz’r™ guitar. It features a stunning list of premium components, including a chambered mahogany body and flame maple top, 24.75”-scale mahogany neck with compound-radius ebony fingerboard, shark-eye inlays, Seymour Duncan® “59 humbucking pickups with coil tap switches, a Tune-o-matic bridge, Sperzel® pearl button tuners and chrome hardware.
But the whole of this guitar is more than the sum of its parts. The body design is at once progressive and classic, with aggressive angles that look somehow familiar, and a choice of five custom colors including “Wine Drunk,” “Primer,” “Bourbon Burst,” “River Bed,” and “Old School Burst.” Moreover, the Mark Morton Dominion is set up impeccably, so that each and every guitar plays as well as Morton’s personal instrument.
Just as Lamb of God listeners find themselves in awe of the musical fury that Mark Morton unleashes, guitarists will likely be awed when they first behold the bold new Mark Morton Dominion guitar.
The Mark Morton Dominion is available.
