The VX Series is available in three five-piece configurations. The series features basswood shells, the Mapex I.T.S. Isolated Tom Mount System for increased resonance, double braced Mapex 320A Series Hardware and a padded drummer’s throne. VX drum sets come with an instructional DVD hosted by Mapex International Clinician, Dom Famularo. List price for VX Series drum sets is $999.99.

“The VX is an outstanding drum set with remarkable sound,” said Jeff Ivester, Marketing Director for Mapex USA. “With these new colors it truly looks as good as it sounds. The VX is an excellent selection for anyone shopping for their first “quality” drum set.”

Consumers have additional incentive to purchase the VX Series in 2007. Mapex has recently announced that they will include a “Mapex Survival Pack” with the purchase of each VX drum set. The Mapex Survival Pack includes a logo t-shirt, a logo embroidered cap and wristbands and a nylon drawstring backpack. The Survival Pack carries a retail value of $54.96. The promotion is scheduled to run until July 1, 2007 or while supplies last.
