SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (November 20, 2006) — Guitarist Michael Angelo Batio has devoted his life to perfecting his guitar playing — and his dedication really shows. Dubbed one of the “Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time” by Guitar World Magazine, Michael is the inventor of the twin-necked, left and right-handed Double-Guitar along with his signature guitar playing technique, the MAB Over-Under, where he plays both guitars with both hands at once.
Michael’s career began when he picked up a guitar at the age of 10. He hasn’t missed a beat since — and Ernie Ball strings have been with him for the whole ride. Says Michael, “I’ve found Ernie Ball strings durable, dependable, and I’ve always liked the tone.” Michael went on to become a session guitarist at 19, and eventually gained two major label record deals — one with Atlantic Records with the band “Holland” and another with Rhino/Warner Brothers Records with the band “Nitro.” In 2003, he started his own record label, “M.A.C.E Music” and released two DVD’s, “Speed Kills” and “Speed Lives”, and released his first solo CD “No Boundaries” in 1995. Michael has performed over 1,200 shows in 39 different countries since 1993 and has toured with the late legendary Jimi Hendrix Experience bass player Noel Redding. Michael has a devoted following and is currently on tour and rocking audiences in the U.K.
